Jack ‘n Jill Chippy Gimikada Rocks 2005
The favorite all-time barkada snack, Jack ‘n Jill Chippy, launched its kick-off Gimikada event for 2005 during the Sinulog Festival in Cebu from January 14-15, 2005. It was a two-day free concert event held at the Abuhan Dos parking lot wherein bands like Kjwan, Chicosci, Imago, Kapatid, Urban Dub, Junior Kilat and Malaya performed all-night in the jam-packed venue.
The second Chippy Gimikada was held last March 4, 2005 at the Session Road in Baguio City during the celebration of the Flower Festival (Panagbenga). The event showcased the hottest bands in the country—Sandwich, Chicosci, Imago, Kapatid and Baguio’s very own Session Road. Fun games and prizes were in store for the audience as Chippy Gimikada rocked Baguio.
The recently concluded Chippy Gimikada during the Pistay Dayat in Pangasinan just got better as it doubled the attendance of the previous events. Barkadas partied the night away with the country’s top bands (Sugarfree, Sandwich, Chicosci, Kapatid, Imago and Mayonnaise) and went home with Chippy gift items.
Because of Gimikada’s success, Chippy will continue its Gimikada line-up of events for 2005 as it joins major festivals all over the country. Chippy plans to sustain Gimikada for the years to come, giving the barkada more reasons to enjoy their gimmicks with a pack of Jack ‘n Jill Chippy.
